Ja Morant

https://voicethread.com/myvoice/thread/33193088 This blog is about social media etiquette and why it really matters, especially when you are a public figure. Social media etiquette basically means thinking before you post, being smart about what you share, and understanding that anything you put online can affect your future. The blog talks about what happened with Ja Morant when he went on Instagram Live and showed a firearm. The video spread really fast, and a lot of people were upset because he is a role model. Because of that, he got in trouble and was suspended, and it hurt his reputation. This shows how one bad decision online can turn into a big problem in real life. The blog also explains how the situation could have been avoided if he made better choices and thought about the consequences first. It talks about how he could fix the situation by apologizing, taking responsibility, and showing that he learned from it over time. It also gives examples of better things he coul...

Good vs Bad Website

https://youtu.be/vdhvmLBvO2A In my presentation, I talked about two fantasy football websites, ESPN Fantasy Sports and Sleeper. Both of these tools let you create a team, draft players, and compete with your friends in a league. I explained that even though they do the same basic thing, they feel very different when you actually use them. I showed how ESPN Fantasy has a clean and simple layout that makes it easy to check your team, look at stats, and set your lineup. I also showed how to navigate the site so it’s clear and easy to understand. I also explained why I think ESPN Fantasy is better than Sleeper. ESPN is more user-friendly and is easier for beginners to learn, while Sleeper can feel confusing and crowded with too many features. Sleeper has a lot of extra stuff like chat and notifications that can be distracting and make it harder to focus on your team. I also talked about how fantasy football can be used at Stockton to connect with friends and have fun competition. In ...

Chapter 3 is mostly about how learning isn’t just about school stuff anymore. The author says professors shouldn’t only focus on normal training like classes or workshops. Instead, they should try to be connected learners, which means learning from real life, talking to other people, and getting new ideas from outside the classroom. One big idea in this chapter is unlearning and relearning. This means you sometimes have to forget old things you learned because new information is always coming out. If you keep holding onto old ideas, it can stop you from growing. So you have to be open to learning new and better things. The chapter also says that learning by actually doing something helps you remember it more than just being told about it. This connects to my future job as an event planner. School can teach me some basics, like staying organized, but it won’t teach me everything. Every event is different, so I’ll need real experience to figure things out. I’ll also have to keep up with...

Gmail Smackdown Jimmy Casey

https://youtu.be/jNXUe2g4b0M Gmail is a popular email website made by Google that lets people send and receive messages online. In my presentation, I explained how Gmail is more than just a basic email because it has helpful features like labels, filters, and a search bar that make it easy to stay organized. I also showed how to write and send an email, add a subject, and attach files using Google Drive. These tools make Gmail simple to use and really helpful for school and everyday communication. It’s easy to learn, and most people already use it, which makes it even more useful. I also talked about how I can use Gmail at Stockton and in my future career. As a student, I can use it to email my professors, get updates about assignments and classes, and keep everything organized so I don’t miss important information. It helps me stay on top of my work and communicate clearly. In the future, Gmail will be important for talking with coworkers, sending files, and staying professional ...

Chapter 5 explains how technology can help teachers learn and work together in better ways. It says teachers should not use technology just because it is new or popular but instead choose tools that help them communicate and reach learning goals. The chapter talks about different types of writing tools for talking and sharing with others. Instead of trying to use every app out there, teachers should pick a few that really help them. It also shares simple ideas like “Take 5” and “Follow 5,” which encourage teachers to spend a few minutes connecting with others and learning from new people so they can grow their network without feeling overwhelmed. Marketing is a good example of the same idea. A marketing campaign can do well or fail depending on the tools being used. Just like teachers, marketers should not try to use every new tool that comes out. Instead, they should choose tools that help them reach specific goals, like getting more people to know their brand or increasing sales. In...

Apple Music

https://youtu.be/3_fgMqEYdEU Apple Music is an app where people can listen to millions of songs anytime they want. You can search for your favorite artist, make your own playlists, and even download songs to listen to without WiFi. The app also suggests new music based on what you already like, which makes it fun and easy to find new songs. Apple Music also helps artists and music businesses. When people stream a song, the artist can earn money from it. Artists can also see how many people are listening to their music and where their fans live. This helps them plan concerts, sell merch, and grow their careers. Another cool thing about Apple Music is how it brings people together. Friends can share playlists and show each other new songs. When people like the same music, they feel connected because they understand the same vibes and feelings. Music helps people share the same interests and emotions, and Apple Music makes that really easy.
