Chapter 3 is mostly about how learning isn’t just about school stuff anymore. The author says professors shouldn’t only focus on normal training like classes or workshops. Instead, they should try to be connected learners, which means learning from real life, talking to other people, and getting new ideas from outside the classroom.

One big idea in this chapter is unlearning and relearning. This means you sometimes have to forget old things you learned because new information is always coming out. If you keep holding onto old ideas, it can stop you from growing. So you have to be open to learning new and better things. The chapter also says that learning by actually doing something helps you remember it more than just being told about it.

This connects to my future job as an event planner. School can teach me some basics, like staying organized, but it won’t teach me everything. Every event is different, so I’ll need real experience to figure things out. I’ll also have to keep up with new trends and what people like. The best way for me to get better is by learning from my own experiences and staying connected with others in the field.
